Who am I meeting? What is the Primary Recruitment Experience?

Recruitment Week is an opportunity for you to meet the women of all three of our Panhellenic Chapters: Alpha Xi Delta, Phi Mu, and Phi Sigma Sigma. This year, recruitment will be Monday through Sunday, each day flexible enough for you to visit each chapter and learn about different topics like Sisterhood, Philanthropy, and Financial Transparency.

Money Matters

● Each chapter differs in its financial structure. ● List the round that chapters will cover the financial transparency information during recruitment. ● Give an overview of what fees and dues cover, like activities, events and daily operations. ● Share the detailed financial documents as early as possible.

Recruitment Schedule

Share the entire recruitment schedule and the details for each recruitment round. ○ For example, if you host a Philanthropy Round, explain to PNMs that the round will be focused on each chapter sharing information about the inter/national and/or local philanthropy(ies) they support.

● Communicate general conversations had during each round of recruitment. ● Link to a more specific calendar of recruitment events.

What about Academic Success?

● Before a sorority member, they are a student first. ● Most chapters have academic expectations and share as much academic information as possible. ● Explain that each chapter or inter/national organization sets the academic requirements for membership. ● Communicate that there is no GPA requirement to register for Panhellenic recruitment.

What is the Membership Recruitment Acceptance Binding Agreement?

Membership Recruitment Acceptance Binding Agreement (MRABA) ● Educate PNMs on the MRABA at the beginning of the process. ○ Link the MRABA to your recruitment registration so PNMs and their parents or caregivers can learn more about the document PNMs must sign at the end of the recruitment process to receive a bid and join an NPC sorority. ○ Link the MRABA script video for PNMs and their caregivers to review.

Time Committments

Time Commitments ● It is important to share any required events for PNMs during primary recruitment and what to expect as a new member of a Panhellenic organization. ○ PNM orientation and meetings with recruitment counselors ○ Chapter new member expectations for attendance at events such as new member meetings, chapter meetings, programs, philanthropy and service events ● Provide as much information as possible regarding a new member’s first term in the sorority community.
