Mission We, the students of the Master of Social Work program, in recognition of the importance of social justice, equality, and community empowerment, hereby establish the Master of Social Work Student Association (MSWSA). This association is committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and dynamic environment for students pursuing their MSW degree, while promoting social justice and advocating for positive change within both the social work profession and the broader society.
Membership BenefitsThe purpose of this organization is to foster a supportive and inclusive community among Master of Social Work students, advocate for the values of social justice, equality, and human rights within and outside of the social work profession, provide a platform for students to engage in discussions, activities, and initiatives related to social justice issues, community engagement, and the profession of social work. To promote professional development though networking, workshops, and access to resources, to support the personal and academic growth of MSW students through membership, collaboration, and shared learning experiences. To represent MSW students in program meetings, with faculty, and in institutional decisions that impact the MSW community. To cultivate an active and engaged social work student body committed to creating a lasting, meaningful change in the pursuit of social justice.
