The purposes of this organization is to improve communication among students of the Master of Social Work Department and the University at large: to improve communication between students of Social Work and the Social Work Faculty: increase the participation between students of Social Work in the decision making processes which affect their college careers: lastly, to increase community involvement and awareness through outreach programs.
The purpose of the organization is to provide our social work students with a forum to facilitate interaction with the administration and faculty of the Department of Social Work, with the community outside the university, and with each other, providing students the opportunity to network with one another and enhance their professional and academic life! The organization further supports students desire for self-improvement, scholastic excellence, betterment of the profession of social work, and social action in the community. The organization is also responsible for planning a successful graduation celebration for our students every year. The Association is also a forum where students from different co-horts and first-year students may connect with second and third years students within the MSW program to share experiences with one another and provide mentorship for first year students in their academic and professional journeys.
