If you have a friend or classmate who is interested in living on campus next semester, Spring 2022 Housing Applications are now open! The application process can be completed online by visiting the Housing website or the Housing Portal.
Current housing residents should not submit a Spring 2022 application because they already have an Academic Year 2021-2022 contract.
Preparing for Fall Break
Fall Break will be here before we know it! Please make sure to complete the Fall Break Survey by 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16 to alert the Housing Office of your plans. If you plan to be on campus and would like to pick up meals that Thursday and Friday, you must RSVP in the Fall Break Survey.
The Housing Office, Academic Support Hub, and campus dining venues will have adjusted hours and closures throughout the break. You can find specific closure information throughout The Verve, and stay tuned to your email for more fall break information as well.
Residents who are leaving off-campus for one night or more or who are planning to attend a gathering off-campus are strongly encouraged to test prior to returning to campus or as soon as they return to campus. All COVID-19 test results throughout the semester should be uploaded via the Student COVID-19 Testing Form.
The Stan State COVID-19 Testing Sites will be closed November 25 and November 26 and will re-open Monday, November 29.
Disposing of Pumpkins
Now that the Halloween holiday has passed, please remember to dispose of your Jack-o-Lanterns to prevent them from rotting in the hallway. Pumpkins can be tossed in any of the dumpsters just outside of the Village.
Get Tested, Get Rewarded!
As a thank you for testing monthly and helping keep our community safe, we're hosting a series of gift card giveaways for residents! This week we'll be giving away 6 Amazon gift cards!
If you've already tested in November, stop by Wednesday on the Walkway this Wednesday, 11/17 to enter to win! Simply show your "Your Results Are Now Available" email or text confirmation (not the results) and you'll receive a ticket.
If you haven't tested yet in November, take your test between now and the end of the month, then bring your confirmation to the next Walkway table date on 12/1!
The Stan State COVID-19 Testing Sites will be closed November 25 and November 26 and re-open Monday, November 29. It is recommended that all residents who leave campus over break test before returning to campus or on Monday when the testing site re-opens.
Scroll down to the Health & Wellness section for a detailed listing of on-campus testing walk-up and drive-thru locations.
Installations in Village 1
You may notice maintenance occurring around Village 1 over the next few weeks as we install hard wire internet connections to improve WiFi in that area.
The ZamCom team has most recently been working through units ending in -03 and will continue with -02, -01 and so on. It can take anywhere from 2-4 days, sometimes more, to complete the hard wire cable process in one column (i.e. 103, 203, and 303).
Data ports in the completed units have not been activated yet; this will take place at a later date.
Resident Wellness Spaces
Do you need a quiet place to study or a private place to have an appointment with Psychological Counseling Services?
Visit the Front Desk to check out a key for our Resident Wellness Space - a private room that allows you meet or study in a space outside of your apartment. Residents can use this space for up to two hours on a first-come, first-serve basis, Monday through Saturday when the Housing Office is open.
If you have any questions about this space, please contact the Housing Office.
Petition to Cancel Deadline: Tues., November 30, 2021
Are you graduating this semester or not planning to return to housing in the spring? The deadline to submit a Petition to Cancel form is Tuesday, November 30. This form will cancel the remainder of your housing contract for the 2021-22 school year.
If you are planning to move out in December and not return to housing for Spring 2022, you must submit this form. You can find the Petition to Cancel Form on the Forms & Policies page of the Housing website.
