About Us

As a Hispanic serving institution (HSI) and majority first-generation student school, many Stanislaus State students are attending college for the first time. Without guidance, this journey can prove overwhelming. The STEM discipline can be mentally taxing, our goal is to provide a supportive community to our members where they can be uplifted and guided through their journey while at Stan State.

Members Benefits

Our organization will prepare members as they begin their journey as recent STEM graduates, whether it is life within or outside of academics. We will hold monthly professional development workshops for our members including, but not limited to: CV-development, internship applications, grant writing, and tech literacy. CV-development sessions will help members build a professional resume that highlights member achievements and showcases their talents to future employers. We will also help with website portfolios on sites like GitHub, Plateau, and LinkedIn, to boost our members' online presence to be seen by job recruiters, while increasing their technological literacy. Internship workshops will help with the transition from “student life” and help prepare members for leadership roles in their future careers. We hope to provide internship opportunities that are outside of what is typically seen here in the Central Valley, so more areas around the country can benefit from the hard working and driven individuals coming out of Stanislaus State. We will also provide scholarship and grant writing workshops in order to develop the skills necessary to obtain funding for their research and to show potential employers that they can obtain the needed capital to complete projects.
