For those that may not know, IYT is a Black-led non-profit organization that advocates for educational equity and provides programs and services to young men of color, helping them get to and through college. They’re on a mission to change the face of college attainment by increasing the number of young men of color who attend and graduate from colleges and universities.
This week is the last week to bring on our full/half time positions and in January we will have a little under half time positions available. Do you have an interest in mentoring young men of color in middle and high school? We have positions opened to serve in Modesto right now. I believe this is the last week (Oct 15th to apply).
We are looking for mentors to serve Lincoln unified, Lodi, and Modesto unified schools.
Lastly, if you are not doing anything special on October 29th in the evening, would love to invite you to our Virtual Fall Fundraiser!
Grab a loved one or a friend and join IYT on Oct 29th for Cooking for Change, a first-of-its kind digital community experience that will blend live cooking with engaging community conversations, door prizes, auctions, fund-a-need, and more! Help support the growth and educational success of young men of color by #CookingforChange.

This event is designed to be fun for everyone but the supper kit is only available in participating regions (Sacramento, Stockton, Modesto). This experience would not be possible w/out the collaboration of Last Supper Society and our host chef, Liesha Barnett, from Edible Schoolyard Stockton!
