Earlier this week we hosted the Professional Communication Tips workshop. However, there were technical difficulties that happend. Therefore, we have pushed it back to next week on Tuesday November 30th, 2021 between 3:00-4:00pm. Hope to see you all then!

Study Abroad Information Session

Attend a Study Abroad Information Session. This is your first step to studying abroad. All Information Sessions last approximately 45 minutes to 75 minutes. During the Information Session, we explore both providers’ websites, discuss scholarships and financial, and give an overview of the application process. Attending an information session does not commit you to study abroad but it does give you the tools to find the program that best fits your academic and financial needs.

Diversity Crash Course: Cultural Competency & Humility

Learn the basics of cultural competence and cultural humility within the context of higher education. These two concepts are defined and provide research-based information on the “why” and “how” it differs, as well as, how it relates to diversity, equity and inclusion work. These 45-minute sessions provide participants with introductory basic concepts, language and key terms associated with Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice with the goal of building upon our cultural competence and humility at Stan State.

Professional Communication Tips

AY! Wht r u doin?! Need help plz lol! This is okay for talking to your friends or family, but not okay for professional communication. This workshop will provide tips and tricks on how to be personable and professional when writing individual or group emails or messages throughout your lifetime. Writing is one of the new forms of first impressions, so come learn how to give a good first impression.
