You may be wondering, what is a booth/table?

We are excited to announce that we will once again have Recognized Student Organization (RSO) booths back in the quad! These spaces serve as a place to build community, provide an opportunity to hang out with friends/members, recruit new members, and serve as a meeting space when you have a break in your schedule.

Your booth or table can also serve as a physical representation of your organization's brand and help you promote your mission or vision to interested students. We hope that your organization will utilize your booth or table on campus to increase visibility and promote your organization to the campus community.

Having a booth or table on campus is one of the many benefits of being a Recognized Student Organization (RSO). Organizations who are not currently recognized are not eligible to have a booth or table on campus. There are seventeen (17) spots available and each organization will get a chance at the lottery to choose a space once their Booth/Table Contract is submitted. Once submitted, your organization name will be entered on the wheel.

• Structures must be erected and painted off campus (this ensures that structures are portable and minimizes paint, nails, or other hazards in Quad).
• The size of booths/tables cannot exceed 9’ (height) x 9’ (wide) x 5’ (depth).
• Booths/tables must be made of all-weather material and must be painted. The student organization’s name must be clearly visible on the structure. Booths/tables without proper identification will be removed at the expense of the student organization.
• An organization is only permitted to have ONE structure on campus. You must distinctly have a booth or a table. If your organization has more than one structure (including overhangs, roofs, or any other constructed additions that are separate from the booth or table) the organization's booth space will be forfeited and result in the removal of the entire structure at the expense of the student organization.
• Structures are placed on the campus at the risk of the student organization and may be removed with or without notice by University personnel.

• There will be a maximum of seventeen (17) structures allowed in the quad at any one time.

• A lottery system will determine which student organization may place a structure on campus during the semester.  The Lottery will be conducted as follows:
  • Structures will only be approved for Recognized Student Organizations (RSO).
  • A representative from your student organization must be in attendance at the lottery.
  • The seventeen (17) student organizations selected in the lottery drawing will receive a structure space for the semester.
  • The designated quad space will be chosen when the organization's name is called during the lottery.
  • If an RSO wishes to transfer structure spaces to any other student organization, they'll need to contact SLEB.
  • All student organizations not selected for the seventeen (17) available spaces will be placed on a waiting list in the order of drawing selection.
  • Any student organization not participating in the lottery may be added to the waiting list on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • If your organization is selected from the waiting list to have a structure space, you must bring the structure on campus within three (7) days of notification. 
  • Structures that have not been placed in their space by the designated date and time will be reassigned to next student organization on the waiting list.
• Spaces are 12’ (wide) x 5’ (deep).  Student organizations will ONLY be allowed to have one complete, connected structure placed in their approved space. 

• Structures may be placed on campus one week from when Booth Lottery takes place. 
• Student organizations can place their structure on campus during the following hours:
  • Monday through Friday from 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• See attached map for approved delivery route.
• All structures must be placed within the marked space the student organization selected during the Booth Lottery.
• Any university property damage created through delivery of booths/tables will be at the expense of the student organization.

• Student Leadership, Engagement, and Belonging may inspect structures upon arrival to campus to ensure the structure meets all specifications and is structurally safe.
• It is the duty of the student organization to maintain the structure. Structures that are not maintained will be removed at the expense of the student organization.
• The University reserves the right to reject any structure that does not meet stated specifications and for any other reason deemed not legitimate by University staff whether or not specified in this contract.
• All booths must be trash free by the end of each day.

• Structures must be removed prior to the start of finals and/or when requested for special events in the quad. Student organizations will be assessed a $25 fine for each day it has not been removed for up to 10 days. After 10 days, structures will be removed and disposed of at the expense of the student organization. Such student organizations will not be considered in the lottery for the following semester.
• Recognized Student Organizations can remove their structure from campus during the following hours:
  • Monday through Friday from 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

• Any university property damage created through removal of the structure will be at the expense of the student organization.

Recognized Student Organizations (RSO) who fail to comply with the Structure Contract will have their privileges revoked immediately.
